Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to visit our website to learn more about our nursery. Edenfield Nursery is situated in Nelson, Lancashire and is an Ofsted registered provider for children aged 2-4.

We are committed to the highest standards of teaching and learning for all our children. Small class sizes, well-qualified, committed and experienced staff ensure that children achieve their full potential and reach high standards across a wide range of studies and extra-curricular activities.

We have a wonderfully caring team of practitioners who are experienced and trained to Nurture, Develop and Inspire every child in their care. Therefore providing the best start and education for your little ones.

We have designed our nursey to ensure each child can experience inspiring educational activities indoors and outdoors in all weather. Our rooms are cosy, warm and packed with fun, educational resources and equipment.

LCC Step with Boys Award

We are pleased to announce that we have received the LCC Step with Boys Award. This programme investigated the differences between boys and girls, including brain research, physical development and learning styles, in order to understand the specific needs of our boys, who are often at risk of underachieving. A wide range of strategies were explored in order to engage and interest boys so that we can meet their unique needs.

LCC Quality Award

We are celebrating after receiving the nationally accredited 'Lancashire Step into Quality Award'. The award is evidence of the good practices and quality of service for children and parents. Well done to all staff and children for their hard work!

Forest Frontieres

Forest Frontieres - We have partnered with 'Forest Frontiers' to provide sessions designed to bring children together in the great outdoors, whatever the weather. We plan activities that suit all the individual's interests whilst building resilience, confidence and a love for nature.

We are Reading

Edenfield Nursery “took the pledge” to be involved in the 'We are Reading' campaign led by Lancashire County Council to promote reading in schools. The initiative enriched the reading culture of our nursery and made a real difference to our children’s reading habits and literacy skills.

The Daily Mile

Edenfield Nursery was proud to take part in 'The Daily Mile' to improve the physical, social, emotional and mental health and wellbeing of our children – regardless of age, ability or personal circumstances. Children running/jogging/walking/toddling for 15 minutes a day outside in the fresh air as part of a daily focus on health and wellbeing and physical activity.
